Dr Paul Lee
Paul graduated fromMelbourne Universityin 1988 and moved to Kerang in rural northwest Victoria to work in full-time private practice. After six and a half years of country practice he moved to Nigeria, West Africa to serve in a missionary school clinic for six months. He returned to Melbourne in 1996, joining Dr Leong at the Ringwood Surgery. Paul enjoys the variety of general dentistry, but has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry implementing the use of orthodontics and implants. Apart from work, he also enjoys a good game of golf, serving in his local church and spending time with Sylvia and their very active little boys, Brandon and Jaiden.
Dr Jade Chai
Jade joined Brighter Smiles soon after graduating from the University of Melbourne with Honours in 2001. Since then she also obtained a Grad Cert in Dentistry (Uni Adel), supervised undergraduate dental clinics, served in volunteer dental aid teams and nurtured two rambunctious toddlers! She loves to build long-term relationships with you and your family through quality dental care with a warm personal touch. She speaks Mandarin Chinese and has a special interest in periodontal (gum) health and maternal and child health.
Dr Elice Chen
After graduating from Melbourne University, Elice opted for a change of scene and lived in Northeast Victoria for several years, working in the Wangaratta and Benalla community dental clinics. She has returned to Melbourne, but still enjoys working part time in a community clinic in the inner city. She is passionate about preventive care – helping you understand and look after your oral health. It’s ok if you’re a little nervous about dental visits, no matter what age you are – Elice is happy to discuss your concerns and will plan out a gentle approach with you. Her other interests include graphic design and blasting out cheesy 80s sax solos on her saxophone. Elice speaks Mandarin and a little Hokkien. She is a member of the Australian Dental Association Public Dentistry Committee.
Dr Grace Pang
Grace graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne in 2005. Since then she has worked in private practice in Melbourne’s inner city and outer suburbs, and has been involved in clinical supervision for final year dental students since 2010. She is dedicated to minimally invasive dentistry and preventive care, and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, especially endodontics (root canal fillings). She loves reading, learning the guitar, dancing, and serving in the worship team at church. Grace is most comfortable speaking in English but is happy to speak in Korean as well.
Dr Daniel (Ming En) Fan
Daniel served in community dental clinics for two years in regional Victoria before completing his Master of Dentistry. He started practising in private practice in Benalla and has joined Brighter Smiles since moving to Melbourne. Daniel is thorough and enjoys fine details in his work, particularly in fillings, root canal treatments and prosthodontic work. He is respectful and sensitive to patients’ oral health care needs. Outside of dentistry, Daniel is involved in weekly indoor soccer competitions as well as church activities, and maintains his childhood hobby of collecting insect specimens and charcoal portrait drawing.
Dr Florence Ting
Florence graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2004. She has since worked in public and private practices in Melbourne. Florence enjoys all aspects of dentistry, from crown and bridge work, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatment to paediatrics. Florence's gentle and caring approach is ideal for treating nervous patients. Outside of work, Florence is busy looking after her family, she helps run the children's program at her church. Florence is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Dr Alvin Siew
Alvin graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2006, and since then has worked in private practice across metropolitan Melbourne.
Alvin aims to provide the best possible outcome for each patient whilst making sure they are comfortable in the dental chair and is happy to discuss treatment options. He has a gentle and thorough approach and enjoys practising all aspects of dentistry. He has a particular interest in preventative dentistry, restorative dentistry (including crown and bridge) and endodontics.
Alvin is a member of the Australian Dental Association and continually updates his knowledge by attending professional development courses.
Outside of work, Alvin loves spending time with his wife, Karen, and their young daughter. He also enjoys playing soccer and tennis in his spare time and is a keen AFL fan.
